About the Host
The host of the podcast is Thomas Fredrickson, also known as "Freddy". Thomas is a Certified Master Athletic Administrator and has been an Athletic Director for 12 years and a Coach (Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Cheer) for 18 years. Currently Freddy is the Assistant Athletic Director and Sports Information Director at Rudolph Gordon School in Simpsonville, SC. He started his career as a Middle School AD, then transitioned to the role of AD at 2 High Schools for 5 years.
Along with serving his school, Freddy is on the South Carolina Athletic Administrators Association (SCAAA) Executive Board as their Middle School Coordinator, Technology Director, Marketing Director and Webmaster. He is also on the SCAAA LTI Teaching Faculty, having taught a wide variety of classes and workshops at the Annual SCAAA Conference. Freddy helps out his fellow SC Middle School ADs by serving as a mentor to newer Athletic Administrators.Â
Thomas also serves with the NIAAA on the Accreditation Committee, LTI Teaching Faculty, and Workshop Presenter. He was a member of the Leadership Cohort and hopes to be a mentor on future cohorts if the opportunity presents itself.
"I am looking forward to speaking with different Athletic Administrators from across the Nation. My hope is that this podcast serves as a piece of Professional Development for other ADs to grow as leaders. If you ever need anything, please reach out! I am here to assist in anyway possible."
